KVILE is a concert where traditional folk tunes and hymns are brought into a space with original compositions, improvisation and played over a sound scape and back track.

Øyvind Svendsen (horn, bugle horn, trumpet, church organ) is from Norway, but has lived for twenty years in Bergamo, Italy, and works as an organist and composer.

Audun Nedrelid (piano, melodica, sound/backtracks) is from Norway, but lives in Kaskö, Finland, and works with film, sound, and music.

Kvile has been developed remotely by sending files between Finland and Italy, and was played in Kaskö Church in Finland June 2023 and 2024 in connection with the Summer Concerts organized by the congregation.

In October 2023, Kvile was played in Bergamo in the Valdeser Church.

Inger Karlsen, singer from Norway, has contributed with recorded voice in some of the tracks.

Work is in progress in 2025 to further develop the concept of both doing concerts and recordings.
