ANIMATION WORKSHOPS
Animated films has no limits! You can travel from the bottom of the sea to outer space few seconds - free of charge!
Through animation, students can learn more about and explain a subject such as history, mathematics or visual arts in a completely new and exciting way. The purpose of the workshop is to use animation as a tool and a method to both convey and learn more about a current topic. At the same time, the students learn how the film language works in a simple way through effective storytelling combined with sound and music.
Since 2004 Coaxfilm has provided animation workshops in schools, mainly for class 3 to 10, but also in high schools. The workshops using stop motion animation both in 2D (cut out) and 3D-technics (clay/puppet).
In Norway most of the workshops have been supported by Den kulturelle skolesekken.
Coaxfilm was also a part of I-CAN International Cartoon and Animation festival of Norway 2019-21.
In Czech Republic it has been in co-operation with Prameni, and in Tanzania as a part of East Africa Cup.
Currently coaxfilm is providing animation workshops in Finland, mostly at Swedish-speaking schools and often through Kultur i skolan/Kulturfonden. You can read more about the information sent to schools here. (in swedish)
